Since joining the Yakezie challenge four weeks ago, my Alexa ranking has gone from 629,450 to 453,653. That is a numerical change of 175,797 spots. On a percentage basis I have moved up almost 28%. That isn’t too bad. The goal is for us to get under 200,000 within 6 months. If we continue to see this type of improvement we will reach our goal with a few days to spare. From the Yakezie.com website:
The Yakezie is one of world’s largest and most sophisticated network of personal finance and lifestyle bloggers. Through collaboration and the selfless support of others, we strive to improve the lives of every one of our visitors.
One of the objectives of the Yakezie challenge is to selflessly promote other Yakezie members. This weeks “Five for Friday” roundup is dedicated to promoting five other Yakezie members. There is some really good reading in these posts, so check them out and if you enjoy the post make sure you leave a comment to encourage the discussion…and tell them I sent you.

@matt – No problem. Promotion of posts is one of the best ways to help others get traffic and share with readers some good information.
The Yakezie Challenge sounds really interesting, am I right in thinking it works by improving a persons blog by making it better for the readers and gives them feedback? Sounds great!
@Harriet – Actually the challenge was designed more of a motivation for bloggers to consistently post content and promote others, with the goal of moving up in the Alexa ranking. If you want to read more about it, click on the Yakezie challenge banner in my left sidebar.
The Yakezie is great. It’s helped me out so much. The guys are great, and joining the Yakezie was the best thing I’ve done for my blog so far.
