However, until our country gets their head out of the sand, and creates a brand-new money system... there really isn't a long-term solution. If everyone pays off debt and no one takes on new debt, money will cease to exist. In the US, money *is* debt, and without debt, there is no money. If you're not familiar, look up "Money as Debt" on Youtube. It's a great watch, and shows you how broken our system really is. I agree- spending is not the answer here.
