I’m Debt Free!

Debt Free Freedom

I probably should have saved this one for my “Five for Friday” roundup, but it was so good that I decided to go ahead and post it today so it could encourage you as much as it encouraged me.

NCN over at NoCreditNeeded, lists 20 things that rock about being debt free. I totally concur with his list as my wife and I are also debt free (except for the mortgage) and it is great. The best part of being debt free is the freedom we have to be able to give whenever we feel directed to do so. Also, knowing that we are teaching our children about the dangers of debt, gives us hope that they won’t have to experience the same mistakes we made.

Any plans to accelerate the mortgage?

Thanks…we are currently paying extra on the mortgage, which equals about 1 extra principle payment a year. With college only two years away, we are working both major events at the same time.

God’s blessings are truly awesome.
