The society in which we live tells people they deserve that big, new thing - and people take it hook, line and sinker.  I can&#039;t comment to the idea that the problem is related to depression or mental health, but I know in my counseling the biggest problem seems to be pride and a lack of contentment.</description>

I couldn&#039;t agree more with this post.  There are lots of places where you can get information and help on debt but they are all useless if you don&#039;t think that you have a problem.

I also think that there are not enough resources to help people with the reason that they got into debt in the first place.  It is often the result of some kind of depression or mental health problem (unless obviously caused by external factors like redundancy or ill-health).
