January 9th, 2009 | 4 Comments | Posted in Roundup, Savings

This has not been a very good week regarding my own posts, but that did not stop a lot of other great bloggers from publishing some really good material.

Here about five articles/posts that I think you will enjoy

  1. Mr. Tough Money Love has a Financial Epiphany
  2. Paul Williams shares some Biblical financial wisdom with regard to being content
  3. Sound Mind Investing has a funny article that gives us five reasons not to budget
  4. Jay Peroni offers a a Biblical perspective on accumulating wealth
  5. Oprah and Suze Orman are working together to offer a free download of Suze’s new book 2009 Action Plan

Five great articles and/or posts that will hopefully encourage and inspire you. Feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Thanks for the mention and the excellent round up. I have to say that although I appreciate Suze Orman’s free download, I cannot agree with all of her advice. But it can’t hurt if the financially clueless choose to follow it.

Thank you for a great post and reminding us that the government is not the answer to our financial problems. I like the idea of becoming an economic survivalist. If more people understood the importance of personal responsibility we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Thanks for mentioning my article! I have been wondering what people think about that series on contentment. I don’t seem to get a lot of comments on the site about it. I have had family and friends say they enjoy it though.

I believe the majority of financial problems center around our inability to be content with the resources God has provided. It is our desire for ‘more’ that gets most people into a bind.
