With gas prices coming down, the average family is experiencing a little bit more wiggle room in the monthly budget than only a few months ago. Hopefully, if you are able to save a few of those dollars each week you are putting them aside in your emergency fund or are paying down debt. Either way, there are still things that you can do to help your own situation.
One of them is to look at the amount you are spending on groceries each month. A few weeks ago we wrote about the price of food going up and how that impacted your budget. Today I came across this article that lists three ways to cut your grocery bill:
- Strategic shopping
- Virtual coupon clipping
- Buy online
Not sure about buying online, but having a plan and using coupons are both things that we do that helps us tremendously. The added benefit of shopping with a list/plan is that you can approach going grocery shopping as more of a mission as opposed to a trip through a maze.
