Buy and Bail?

I have heard of “bait and switch”, but I have never heard of “buy and bail” until today. I did a quick google search and found a lot of information on this very dishonest practice. Here is one article that explains everything in very simple terms.

What would make people think this is ok? Somehow our society has become convinced that the “if it feels good” philosophy, really is the way to get ahead. Pretty scary, and we wonder why the economy is in a mess…people doing things like “buy and bail“.
