Ben Franklin

None of the above!

If you have listened to the radio, watched TV, read the newspaper or talked to a friend or colleague the last two days you have no doubt heard about the governmental bailout being tossed about by the fed chairman, Ben Bernanke and the Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson. Today the congress appears to be putting the breaks on the bailout request. For all of the media attention, we are being told there are really two options. First, do nothing and watch the economy meltdown, or secondly, give the government a blank check to the tune of $700 Billion, so that with little to no oversight the government can purchase the mortgages that never should have been given in the first place.

If you are a fan of Dave Ramsey, you know that he is no fan of debt, and if you are a Christian you know that God is not a fan of it either. On the Dave Ramsey show today, Dave gave a pretty good “none of the above” option to the bailout plan on the table today.

Read the article and then contact your congressman and let them no that you are tired of the government using your money to do things that you do not approve of. Also, while you are at it, let him or her know that you will be voting in about 40 days, and you would really like to support someone that has your best interest at heart.
